Corporate and Clinical Governance Framework

B. Braun has a strong Corporate and Clinical Governance Framework which aims to inform and guide the whole organisation in applying governance by setting out the key structures, systems and processes that enables accountability for the delivery of safe clinical care to the highest standard, which is based on the needs, goals and preferences of the consumer receiving the care.

We have a very reflective and engaged Executive Governance Committee who support our individual Renal Care Centre Medical Advisory committees in identifying opportunities to improve patient care, outcomes and report issues.

The framework is based on a robust foundation of systems and process that include the following elements:

Evaluating patient care through surveys and feedback mechanisms
Safety and quality outcomes
Local and national processes that effectively manage risk, safety and quality
Policies and procedures that support open disclosure, clinical practice
Continuous improvement is driven through committees and forums
Continuous workforce strategies to support quality care which includes education and training of staff
Regular review of clinical safety and quality indicators
Our Nephrologists and nurses undergo a full credentialing process to ensure they are skilled to deliver best practice quality and safe care in a warm personalised setting.

We are committed to providing high quality patient care through having our Renal Care Centres accredited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) against the National Safety and Quality Heath Service (NSQHS) Standards.
