Confirm Yes, I am a health care professional. Cancel No, I am not a health care professional. We manage and prioritize our sustainability activities by periodically performing a materiality assessment. This indicates the aspects that are significant to us with regard to our business activities and takes the values of our most important stakeholders into account.
The last evaluation was conducted in 2021. The results of that survey confirm that the topics of product quality and product safety have the highest priority. Ethical principles and human rights are also very significant to us, and we link them to meeting social standards, especially in the supply chain. Data security and data protection in the face of digital transformation in business and society continue to be of increasing importance to us. We are planning to update our materiality matrix for 2023 using a double materiality analysis for the first time. This will not only help us identify the specific effects of our business activities on the various aspects of sustainability but also bring the effects of the environment, climate change and society on our business results into focus.
In 2021, in the course of the new strategy period, we defined the strategic objectives for our sustainability commitment for the next decade and developed a three-year plan with clear milestones. The goal is to continue strengthening sustainability in the company and develop it as an integral part of our business processes.
For B. Braun, the development and use of modern technologies are the key to successfully implementing sustainability in the company. We have set the framework for our activities in the coming years, as derived from our Group strategy and materiality analysis, with six thematic areas and fleshed them out with clear medium to long term goals.
