Out Patient Market (OPM)

The OPM Division is centred on providing products outside of the hospital market and to chronically ill and long-term care patients.

Our products and services are designed while taking a holistic view of patient needs by giving consideration to disease causes and coexisting conditions. We offer products in the focus areas of wound management, diabetic care and disinfection and hygiene.

Our aim is to focus consistently on the specific needs of the Out Patient Market throughout Australia. As such, we will work closely with both health clinicians and our end-customers in order to deliver solutions which fulfill these expectations.

With the introduction of Prontosan® in 2009, B. Braun OPM now offers the wound management community an innovative and revolutionary product for wound management. Prontosan® is a ready-to-use product containing Betaine and Polihexanide, for cleansing, rinsing and moistening of acute and chronic wounds. It has clinical support from wound management community and is used extensively in Europe and United Kingdom.
